Adrianna Larkin is a native of St. Louis MO. She credits her writing style to her parents who made it a point to fill their house with everything from Opera to Country to Ethnic Follk Music. She learned that what makes a song good is that thread that remains with you to inspire you to hear it again and again.
Influenced by artists such as Carly Simon, Joan Baez, Billy Joel and Mary Chapin Carpenter, Adrianna's use of lyrical imagery creates a listening experience that is felt as much as it is heard. Though most often placed in a folk genre, Adrianna has created a niche that trescends any one classification. Her 'musical soup' as she is so fond of calling it contains everything from blues, to jazz, to celtic, to folk, even some latin rhythms - and it doesn't stop there. She has created nearly 50 songs to date which have included themes for radio and television.
Adrianna has been a member of the International Who's Who, the Songwriters Guild of America, and served as an executive performance director for a non profit dedicated to supporting the growth or art in the Midwest. She currently owns Art of the Matter, custom framing and fine art gallery (www.artofthemattergallery.com) with her husband, Michael Herold.
Adrianna has performed at well known venues in the St. Louis area, such as Westport Playhouse and The
Sheldon Concert Hall. In 2004 she was one of 4 artists selected from the US and Canada for the
second volume of a singer-songwriter series through Wild Oats Records, Nashville. Her current project
involves the crafting and recording of a sound track for an independent film scheduled to be released at
the end of 2008.
Adrianna Larkin has created themes for both radio and television, as well as jingles for businesses and a variety of media programs. To receive information on creating a project for your company, contact her today!
